I struggle to forgive myself also. It's like I forgive myself, or think I do, and then when I do it again I'm like, "Can I really forgive myself again?" It's possible. Trust God to help you. God can do anything.

Buddy. Take it from one who knows, Alcohol only leads to loss. Lost time, money, resources, friendships, and relationships. People lose their lives, and I almost did. I got into a car accident, and was saved by a miracle. The common argument is that Jesus turned water to wine, and the many other cases of Alcohol use in the Old testament. (I have read them all) Jesus also said that if your right eye causes you to sin...gouge it out! Yeah, he said "gouge it out!" your eye!!! if people think that he is not strong in opposition to things that cause you to sin then they are deceived. Jesus said if your right hand causes you to sin then cut it off! the bible is clear. Drunkenness is a sin. People who do not have a problem with drinking a COUPLE drinks are fine with drinking. People who cannot control themselves need to cut it out of their life. Better that then your whole body gets cast into hell. Also when you are drunk you are a prime target for the Devil. Remember that. I spent 14 years getting wasted, and now I have only wasted time. I pray that god will reveal his truth to you and give you strength to overcome alcohol. look into spiritual bondage if you really want to but can't break free from alchohol. maybe there is a demonic stronghold, or generational curse, or something that tneeds to be broken for you to be free.
